KAIKOURA AND PICTON
We’d saved money by taking a ferry at night, and we’d half regretted this as we were told that the ferry journey itself was a beautiful experience. So we’d been hoping for a clear night as it was a full moon, and we’d hoped that it would be even more special in the moonlight. We weren’t to be disappointed - the Sounds really did look magnificent. The only downside was that I couldn’t spend as long outside as I would have liked due to me feeling really grotty with my cold.
We arrived in Wellington bang on time at 1.30 am, and went off in search of somewhere to park up Bongo for the night.
