photos. We’d already had a massive lunch so we weren’t really hungry so later on we decided to go and check out Chinese bars. The first one we tired was M&Gs pub, wow it was like stepping back to a cheesy 80’s club! There was laser beams, terrible 80’s Chinese style dance music, a Bollywood movie showing on the tv, expensive drinks, very friendly people, cd DJ decks with a cd of somebody MC’in over the song which was playing, it was bonkers and very funny! We made a hasty exit and decided to try and find something a bit more low key so we wandered and wandered, its weird cause I think most people seem to do there drinking with food, as bars seemed to be pretty thin of the ground, but we were determined and such enough as soon we got off the main drag we found a more bar like area. This time the bar had loads of potters wheels and loads of cool pottery so after we had been served our warm beer with ice by a very friendly bar lady, one of the blokes starting doing his pottery thing so we sat there
watching him make a lovely shaped pot which he just trashed as soon as he’d finished it and started making something else! After 1 warm beer we decided to move on as there was a couple of bars across the road, the second one was absolutely rammed as there was a band on, it was a-shame cause you couldn’t even get through the door it was that packed so we opted for the first café type bar which thankfully served ice cold beer!
Feeling pleased with ourselves that we had managed to get out and about in a land with such a difficult language barrier we headed back to our hotel. I really liked Xian, it has a really good vibe to it.

The next morning was free so we headed out after breakfast, our first proper Chinese breakfast, I wasn’t sure if I fancied noodles and dumplings for breaky but we cleaned our plates in no time at all! We had
