MUMBAI (BOMBAY)
of India. From here we had planned to get a boat out to Elephanta Island, which is said to be quite a sight, but we decided that the big black storms out to sea were enough to scupper those plans!! So we sought sanctuary in an air conditioned internet café for an hour, before relaxing into a café bar which can only have been described as a Wetherspoons transplanted from England!! We spent the remaining hours here with cold beer, tasty food and Indian cricket, until it was time to head to the station in time for our train.
We got to the station an hour early due to us not reading the ticket properly, DOH! Still it was better than it being an hour late! We actually spent a most entertaining time watching the crowds milling around in what was an unfeasibly hectic place. Finally it was time for our train, our last vision of Mumbai was all the Indians jumping onto the train as it was pulling in to

bag seats in the unreserved second class section!!! All in all we enjoyed our day in Mumbai, it is a very hectic, but somehow interesting place.
