BACK TO AUCKLAND
we’d go and check out a few more shops before parting with our hard-earned cash and low and behold Kathmandu had a half price sale and yeap you guessed it, the very same boots that he’d just tried on we in the sale. Rob immediately said he would be very lucky if they had them in his size and I told him that he is very lucky (obviously being married to me!) and hey ho there they were Size 9 with Robs name all over them! It was definitely our lucky day as he tried them on and they seemed to fit and we only $149 which works out at £55 - now how lucky is that!!!

After the jubilation of getting his boots half price we decided that we would stay in town and treat ourselves to a meal and a few drinks later on. We pottered around until it was time for me to go and get my visa again I had a few butterflies on the way up in the lift but these were short lived when I got handed by passport with a
full 10 year visa - the only downside was that it had a fairly large picture of me with my dodgy long unruly hair!!! I skipped out of the lift and showed Rob my visa, I was like a child with a bag of sweets then calmed down and put it away then we headed off in search of somewhere to go and eat.

We didn’t bring the guide book so we stopped off in a bookshop to check out good places to eat in a variety of touristy books and the one we opted for was a good 20 minutes walk, but we figured it would be worth it. Hmmm when we got to where it should have been we found out that it was now a building site and no longer existed! Still it didn’t dampen our spirits so we headed back into town to see what it had to offer. We wandered around and Rob suggested that we go for a pint and decide what we wanted to eat which we did.
