BUENOS AIRES
Pellegrini!! Buenos Aires also has the added attraction for us of being home to some of the only vegetarian restaurants in Meat loving Argentina, and we were keen to give at least one of them a go!! The first one we picked turned out to be an all you can eat buffet affair, and rather tasty it was too! Piles of delicious hot veggie food accompanied by mountains of fresh salad went down very well indeed!!
We spent the afternoon generally wandering around until the long day before started to catch up with us and we went back to the hostel for a few hours chill! Browsing through the entertainment section of the Lonely Planet I found that round the corner from the hostel was the “Gibraltar”, which promised “Sofas, curried foods and happy hour” - sounded right up our street!! On arrival we were greeted by a sign which proclaimed “this is a pub!” Excellent we thought, a pub! So we ordered a beer

After missing our stop we finally arrived at the “Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Pilar”, a very old and ornate church which housed an interesting museum. There were some enticing glimpses of the famous “Cementerio de la Recoleta”, or Recoleta Cemetery for the Spanish language challenged!! Speaking of which in a bookshop nearby we bought ourselves a
