could be. If this was the strength of wind on land then what the hell was it going to be like in the middle of the Drake Passage?
After the stroll along the waterfront we headed to the museum which was really good. This helped pass an hour or so and we spent the rest of the day wandering around the town and its few but pleasant plazas. Our flight to Ushuaia was early evening and the view from the windows over the pretty town and surrounding snow capped mountains was fantastic.
On stepping out of the airport again we realised the ferocity of the wind, it was bitterly cold and unrelenting. We got picked up and taken to our hostel which turned out to be far better than either of us could have ever realised. After checking in we were taken through the main hostel and shown to our room,

which turned out to be in a separate building and was just like a two bed roomed apartment, complete with its own kitchen, living area and under-floor heating! It was fantastic and there was nobody else booked in so we had the place to ourselves. We decided it was worth staying in it again for when we came back from Antarctica and promptly went and booked ourselves in!
We woke up fairly handy the next morning and after a good breakfast we headed into town as there were a far few things we needed to get for Antarctica. Ushuaia was a cute little town and reminded us very much of Tromso in Norway. We walked along the seafront and saw a couple of Antarctica boats docked and preparing for another adventure down south! We were getting very excited by this point but I was more than a little concerned about the force of the wind and what it would do to our very small ship! We went window shopping for
