TORRES DEL PAINE
there were lakes chocked up with icebergs, enormous twin forked glaciers and snow covered mountains. I’m pretty sure we were looking down on the Viedma Glacier near El Chalten, and it was truly monstrous!! Given the weather I felt extremely privileged to get this view, and it was very fitting that this was our last view of Patagonia - in a couple of hours we’d be landing in Santiago, where the weather was apparently hot hot hot and we were due to meet up with Cheeky Phil, our Cockney mate we‘d met in Antarctica!!! Patagonia had been simply amazing, but it was definitely time to say goodbye to the land of ice, snow and fierce winds and top up our tans again!!
