LA SERANA & BAHIA INGLESA
Chileans and we were staying in the local campsite, in these fantastic A frame cabins with there own kitchen!! Our cabin slept five, and we were paired up with Janette from Canada and Andie from Lancashire, which we were pleased about as we all got on really well. The place was so cool, right on top of the beach, with a swimming pool, a beach football pitch and outside seating and barbeque areas where we all had a few beers once again!!

The next day we had an opportunity to go to the nearest town in the bus, but we were told that there wasn’t anything there, it was mainly for anyone who needed more shopping or internet etc. So we opted for chilling around the campsite in the lovely sunshine. We had an al fresco lunch and then when the bus returned from the town were press ganged into playing beach football!! Needless to say we weren’t very good at all, and I ended up with two foot injuries within
ten minutes, so gave it up as a bad job!! The following game of volleyball in the swimming pool was much more enjoyable though, and to my great surprise after a bad start I played really well - winning two games with the Northern English team of Tom from Manchester, Chris from Derbyshire and me!! This despite the numerical advantage of four players on the Chile / German team!!

After our sporting adventure we had a short stroll into the village and to check out the rest of the beach - it didn’t take very long but was nice just for a small change of scenery. Then we were treated to a Jorge style barbeque - with something for everyone - fantastic fish for me, and some veggie barbeque food for Hel. We were also treated to an amazing sunset over the Pacific from the beach, no photos I’m afraid so you’ll just have to trust us!! Back at the campsite this turned into our main party night - with
