THE COLCA CANYON
condors gliding on the thermals around us - these are just incredible birds - so gracefully and silently soaring in these huge canyons - this was indeed a very special place. The time was ticking on though and the temperature was dropping, so we decided to head off. Just as we did though a condor came out of nowhere and flew right over our heads - it couldn’t have been more than twenty foot above us!! The highlight of the morning was the sandwich we had for breakfast - avocado, cheese and tomato and a warming cup of coca tea made by a friendly local lady in Traditional Peruvian dress. The avocados in Peru are amazing - they are the size of a melon!! We didn’t even know what they were in the shops until this morning when the lady cut one open to make our sandwich!! We still had over an
