SALAR DE UYUNI DAY ONE
headed inside. Fiona had somehow managed to delete all of her photos from her card so Rob kindly got the computer out and used the ‘don’t panic if you’ve deleted your photo’s’ software and got them all back! Christina had cooked us up another wonderful meal so we all gathered around our dorm side table to eat. The food was great, a lovely hearty lentil based stew, just what you need on cold high altitude nights. After dinner we settled down to a few games of cards before heading for an early night. We needed to be up at 5.30 and out by 6.30 so it definitely wasn’t the night to be partying! It was also really nippy, so after layering up we climbed into bed. We were in a sleeping bag with a duvet type of thing and a blanket so we weren’t going to be wriggling around too much, we were literally pinned to the bed! I think I only woke up a couple of times during the night due to me being too hot! But hey better hot than cold!
