OSLO

27TH - 30TH MAY 2005

Had a wicked 5 hour train from Mydral to Oslo. Again the scenery was amazing, we past through the highest station in all of Norway and it was like a winter postcard scene. Norway is top I love it here, it is a lot more expensive than england and booze is well expensive but if you love the great outdoors then you can't help but fall in love with the place.

We got to Oslo around 3.30p.m. and found the apartment without any hassle. The apartment is ace, its massive and we have free internet which Rob is highly delighted about! Cath and Andy were due to arrive at 11.30p.m. so we were very excited to see them. Met them at the bus stop on the Flybussen and we made our way back to the apartment. They had bought loads of wine with them so it didn't take us long to crack open a box!

Got up fairly handy on Saturday morning, had breakfast and went off to investigate Oslo. Walked up to the castle and fort then wandered over to Akers bridge on the harbour, were forced into the shopping centre due to the heavy rain/thunderstorm onslaught then saught sanctuary in the bar!

After the rain had subsided we ventured out and went to Frogner Park, which had loads of top sculptures, including one sculpture of a very grumpy looking little boy, check out the photo! (Ohj and Jules I’m hope your kiddie-winks don’t ever look that grumpy!) After checking stuff out we were feeling rather knackered and made our way back to the apartment, which was top cause Rob had promised to cook us a chilli! Guess what the chilli was great, no surprise there!

Had a big lazy lie-in the
