Mike bought what he though was a model of a baby croc for his brother Gary, but when the guy told him to fill in an export permit he realised it was actually a real one and decided against buying it!!
We bought tickets for the boat trip which goes up and down the Estuary to see the Crocodiles and Hippos, but when we arrived there at four o clock the captain told us that this was the worst weather he’d seen in twenty four years of doing these trips, and advised us that unless this was our only day we shouldn’t do it as there was nothing to see. As it wasn’t our only day we decided to leave it.

hours and he replied that he’d go to the pub!! I rephrased my question and asked what we could do and he recommended that we go for a walk on the edge of the Game Reserve, where we might see some animals. We did see some zebra and walked down to near the estuary, but unfortunately half was round the rain really started to pelt it down and we got soaked!! The only thing left to do was to dry off and have a beer, and I cooked us all a roast dinner - a real treat!!
Thankfully the weather the next day was a vast improvement, the wind had gone and the sun was shining, so we decided to drive into the game reserve. It wasn’t really much of a game reserve, all we saw was a few antelope and the odd zebra, but the coastline was just amazing. We stopped off at mission rocks, a dramatic rocky stretch of the Indian Ocean with crashing waves, and went on to Cape Vidal, a much calmer place which was really
