flight was a lot better, the seats were great as was the food and general service and before we knew it we were touching down in Bangkok. We were both looking out the window and saying in quite surprised voices 'is that a golf course?' Sure enough there is a golf course in the middle of the two runways!!! How mad is that!!! (One for you Les!)

We jumped a taxi to the legendary Khao San Road in Banglampu, a big traveller's hangout which boasts some of the cheapest accommodation and best nightlife! After we had been travelling for around 15 minutes I said to Rob 'listen, there's no horn papping and everyone seems to have some patience' phew what a relief! We got a place no problem, a nice room and the hotel also had a rooftop swimming pool so all was looking good! We were so tired and feeling pretty drained so we thought we'd have a chill before we went out to check out the area, we promptly fell

asleep all afternoon, so we woke up around 6.00 p.m. feeling wide awake, not looking so good for an early night! We went out and wow what a place, it was very westernised but really buzzin and loads of bars so we went for a beer. Wow we loved this place already, found a wicked little bar just off the main street, it was brilliant, a totally cool place! We both thought 'yeah we're gonna love it here'. We went onto to another place called 'Hippy Restaurant' had some food and more beer, Rob had spicy seafood rice, and he said it was one of the hottest things he'd ever eaten! It was so different from India and I have to say it made a refreshing change! Needless to say as we'd slept all afternoon neither of us were in the slightest bit tired so we ended up drinking beer and then vodka and orange until very late into the night or some would say early morning!!!
