have had to pay if we had taken this bus in the first place, instead of the one with the law-breaker at the wheel!!! At this point I was seriously considering going straight from Ho Chi Minh City to Laos, and writing off Vietnam as a bad job. But as we drove, thankfully a little more sensibly through a major thunderstorm we sincerely hoped that Vietnam would improve, as so far it had not been a good experience at all.
