EL BOLSON
and his family. 3 daughters, one boy and a husband of one of the daughters! They were a crazy bunch and we soon realised that there was no going back - New Years Day morning was going to be spent with our new found friends! Around 1.30 am it was suggested that we hit the El Bolson club scene! The next thing we know we are piling into Papa Bob’s pickup truck and heading to a club! Papa Bob wasn’t drinking so he was fine to drive and before we knew it we were inside a club which had free admission till 3.00 a.m.! Papa Bob and co showed us how to dance South American stylee and we danced the night away! Certainly not what we had been expecting when we were rained in and thought it would be the two of us spending a very quiet New Years Eve! Thankfully around 5 a.m. Papa Bob said he was getting tired and wanted to go home - not a bad effort for a 60 year old! We were only too glad by this point to head home and grabbed a lift. One daughter and the husband came with us but the others were left on some
random corner as they were heading to another club!!! Wow these South Americans sure know how to live it up!
Needless to say New Years Day was a quiet affair. Papa Bob and co had packed up and left well before we even surfaced much to our surprise - where do these people get their energy from? We had a very pleasant chilled day watching films and generally lazing around. Rob made an absolutely wonderful dinner - chips, curry and rice. I can’t tell you have much we both enjoyed this culinary delight it was something neither of us had eaten in so long, and even though they were only oven chips and not really Chinese style curry it was still pure heaven!
The next morning we were fully recovered and raring to go. We took a remise (taxi) to the trailhead of Cabeza Del Indio, a huge rock that
