EL BOLSON
is supposedly shaped like an Indians face. We could sort of see what they meant - no it was pretty good to be honest! It is a totally natural thing and it was pretty impressive and the views over the valley were quiet simply fantastic. We had a great walk along the top ridge and finally found ourselves heading back to town. It had been a good long walk and we both really enjoyed it even though parts of it was on a dirt road.

Enthused by our beautiful surroundings the next day we took the public bus to Lago Puelo which is a dazzling lake situated on the Chilean border. It was a glorious day and the lake was the most amazing colour and the backdrop of snow capped mountains was just picture perfect. We walked up to the viewpoint and the views just got better and better. It was a fabulous spot although fairly windy but we really enjoyed our little picnic by the lake. Rob had perfected the art of
empanadas by this point and we were eating them on a very regular basis! Some would say were eating a little too many but he had so much fun making them that I didn’t want to complain too much!

We were cracking on pretty well with diaries, photos and uploading so spent a fair amount of time in the evenings doing this - I hope you all appreciate our website dedication! Our last day in El Bolson seemed to come round far to fast but here it was. We were planning to head out for another walk but the weather wasn’t playing, it was very cloudy and windy so we again spent the day in and out of the cabana, catching up with website stuff and heading out for the occasional break.
