take a 48 or so hour bus journey through yet more rugged and unpaved roads!

We woke up feeling a little better which was great due to it being Rob’s birthday! Wow, it was a far cry from Pebbly Beach last year where he had a early morning dip and a view of a beach full of Kangaroos! This year it was cold and windy but we were feeling a little better so all was not lost! We got talking to an older English couple over breakfast who had just done the W walk and they were raving about how great it was - well if they could manage it at their age, then we should have no problem. Although they were staying in the Refugios and not camping!

After breakfast we braced ourselves for the great outdoors and the plan was to head to the internet then sort out all necessary camping equipment, as we

had decided to do the trek from tomorrow. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we stepped outside and looked down the street to the waterfront. We were flabbergasted to see the NordNordge docked in the bay! Wow! Our beautiful NordNordge, the ship where we started our travels all those months ago in Bergen, and the ship that took us far and beyond the Arctic circle! There it was not 200 metres away from us looking as smart as it did the day we boarded and said our teary goodbyes! It brought back so many happy memories and it never really dawned on us all those months ago that one day we may see our ship in the Chilean Fjords. We knew it did the trips but we never actually thought we would ever see it again! It was a fantastic start to the day and we knew that things could only get better from here!
