PUNTA ARENAS & PUERTO NATALES
been the most exciting birthday for Rob but he seemed happy enough. We were nearly over our colds and we were heading off into the wilderness the next day so the only thing left to do was go out for a birthday meal. We were recommended a restaurant by Alejandro and fortunately it was down on the waterfront which meant that we could eat our meal and gaze out towards the NordNordge! It was a mainly fish restaurant but they also served veggie food so all was good! The service was extremely slow and we waited nearly an hour for our soup - thankfully it was good! Then the next course was served within about 5 minutes of the soup! Rob said his was wonderful but my veggie omelette was not. It was food but that was all you could really say about it! It was all washed down with a lovely bottle of Chilean white wine. It was probably one of the most sober birthdays Rob’s had for a long time but we certainly didn’t want to feel hungover the next day as our bus to the national park was due to pick us up from the
hostel at 7.30 a.m.!
