SANTIAGO
internet on the - unusual for South America - working wireless network!! Around lunchtime Phil showed up, and it was great to see him again. We’d got on so well in Antarctica that it was really good to catch up. We celebrated this fact in the time honoured fashion of drinking a handsome number of beers by the pool for the afternoon. We also met Keely, a girl who Phil had met whilst travelling. She was a proper Yorkshire lass from Leeds, an accent we’ve not heard for some time!! As it was I vaguely remember moving and then woke up in this lovely big room at the front of the hostel away from all the kitchen noise and generally much nicer then our first one. Needless to say it was a very chilled day with not much activity. Phil cooked us all a curry that night and we played Yahtzee with not another beer in sight!! The next day was spent in roughly the same way - it was so nice in the hostel garden with the sun shining and the pool that a lot of relaxation hours were put in this week!! The internet was good there as well so it was handy to catch up with things and speak to people at home. Hel cooked a great chilli for us all and we enjoyed some delicious Chilean wine and played some more Yahtzee and cards.
The next day we
