AMAZON BASIN - JUNGLE
afternoon we were taken further up the river in the boat to a small sandy river beach, where we set off seemingly straight into the jungle, Angelo and his machete leading the way!! Pretty soon though we came to a much well used trail and the hacking ceased!! We followed Angelo deeper into the lush jungle and at one point had to cross a fallen tree over a stream, which was not easy in the slippery tropical humidity!! Angelo emerged from the fallen remains looking very pleased with himself, and proclaiming a better view of the cliffs!! We were joined by another couple of people there on a tour, but pretty soon it was time to head back to camp.

The sunset heading back down the river was amazing!! It was one of those where
