AMAZON BASIN - JUNGLE
the whole sky just lights up pink, and being on the river with water bound for the mighty Amazon made it all the more special!! Back at the camp dinner was ready and was equally as good as lunch had been, and they didn’t mess around with the portion sizes here either!! We had a game of cards or two in the dining hut, but the mosquito net there wasn’t perfect, and we were quite tired with a long day ahead of us, so before long we decided to call it a night. It was the most amazing experience going to bed and just listening to the sounds of the jungle!! The place was quite literally alive with all kinds of weird and wonderful noises, and with nothing but a mesh net in between us and the various forms of wildlife it was great to just lie back and listen!!

back onto the boat for the return leg. It was pretty misty as we left, but before long the sun came shining over the hills and it was a beautiful morning!! The jungle literally started to steam in the hot morning sun, and made it even more spectacular than the previous day!! Wow! The sun was shining, we were gazing out on the most picturesque scenery possible, and were heading out into more!! We were certainly happy, and it made us both think that it is so important that this area is protected and stays this way, and doesn’t suffer the same fate as so many similar South American paradises.
