TUPIZA
were lucky horses to be cared for and well fed.
After an hour of riding we came to a halt by a large and very impressive looking rock. We dismounted and let our horses rest and eat while we had our photo taken! After a quick 5 minute break we were back in the saddle and heading off the waterfall. We did a faster pace this time and it was an incredible feeling cantering through this wonderful setting. Once we arrived at the dismounting point for the waterfalls we left our guide and the horses and headed up towards the waterfall. It was nice to get into the canyon for a short while and out of the heat, as the sun was strong and the temperature starting to get very high. The waterfall was very pleasant, although not the biggest waterfall we’ve ever seen, it was still pretty enough. We had around 20 minutes here to chill before heading back to our trusty steeds and the start of the journey

One the way back, we past by lots of hoodoos very similar to the ones in Bryce Canyon. It is amazing how so many landscapes are similar the world over. Having said that, neither of us are in any way getting bored of them! Sabre went a little lame on the way back and after a little shoe adjustment we were back on track. Unfortunately the shoe adjusting wasn’t good enough and Sabre went lame again. Our guide was concerned and asked me to swap with his horse. I was warned - be careful he is mucho rapido, meaning he was fast and feisty!!! I got on a little apprehensive remembering back to all of the naughty horses and ponies I’ve ridden over the years, but thankfully me and Singo got on just fine! He was mucho rapido though and he was willing to show his speed at any given moment! Thankfully Sabre was OK and just needed the loose shoe removing, our guide let me ride Singo back and I did enjoy the fact that you really had to ride him rather than
