TUPIZA
just sitting there and letting him plod!

We arrived back on the train track, thankfully its not a busy line so there was no danger of us getting run over by a train! We’d had a lovely ride and we were both really glad to have done it. We knew that the horses would be well looked after and hoped that our money helped pay for part of their upkeep. We were both feeling a bit saddle sort so the walk back round to the hostel was taken at a very leisurely pace. When we got back to our room we realised how horsy we smelt so it was definitely time for a shower! After this I plodded on with photos while Rob cooked up a lovely lunch.

About an hour before sunset we headed up to the local viewpoint which was only about a 20 minute walk. It was worth the effort even if we were both a little
unsure as to whether we could be bothered to walk up the hill to it, our legs were still aching but we knew we should so headed up there. There was the usual religious statue and a fantastic view over the town below and the surrounding hills. The sky was a crazy colour, being almost spilt in two with one side being all bright and sunny and the other side being all dark and stormy! Thankfully the storm clouds came to nothing and we got back without getting wet! We stopped off for a quick beer en-route to home then headed back to the hostel to pack and make sure we dug out all of our extra warm clothes as we would be needing them from tomorrow! We spent the rest of the evening watching football and generally pondering on our forthcoming salt plains tours.
