SALTA
a DVD of the same 80’s mega mix which we’d listened to on the Pachamama tour in Chile!! Oh how we laughed!!
Our bus to Salta was at nine the next morning and we were very relived to be travelling once again in a comfy Argentinean bus. When we’d only been travelling for an hour or so we were stopped by a soldier and led off down to the local army checkpoint, where everyone had to drag all their bags from the bus and queue up to be inspected. It turned out this time that the inspection consisted of asking me where we were from and where we were going, so not so bad!! The journey was made longer by lots of stops as the bus had no toilet, but the scenery was great and we eventually arrived in Salta around 3.30.
By this time we were starving as we’d not been able to find

There were a couple of pedestrianised streets with shops that wouldn’t have looked out of place in Manchester or London, something we’d not seen since Chile. After a wandering for a while we headed back to the hostel for a shower and a chilled couple of
