inside St. Basils and it was pretty impressive again the guide books had been less than flattering, then as the sun was starting to shine we started to walk the perimeter of the Kremlin walls. We wandered round and into the a lovely park like area, again traffic free and very peaceful seeing as we had just walked round a corner from something that resembled a one-way 6 lane motorway! We got an ice-cream and sat an chilled for a bit then carried on and walked further through the park and past the tomb of the unknown solider, there were lots of flowers that had been laid commemorating 60 years since the end of world war 2, and two guards standing guard next to the external flame which was just in front of the tomb, it is a very moving and peaceful place.

We had arranged to meet up with everybody at 7 so we could go and have dinner, so we had a bit of time to kill so went and checked out the GUM store

which is in Red Square, a very impressive looking building from the pictures we had seen in the guide books but we couldn’t really see it to appreciate it as the stage was being erected right in front of it, so we went inside to check it out. It was like an extremely grand Trafford centre, as you had Accessorize, Monsoon, Christian Dior etc etc etc, all the expensive shops that you get in England. We wowed our way round and then met up with everybody for dinner, by this point there wasn’t a worry about being veggie at all as all of the food we had, had been really good and there was always a choice for us veggies! Had a good meal and then went to an outside bar and drank some more Russian beer! We got back to hotel and decided to have one more beer before bedtime and this was where the fun really started!
