In true Noah style he negotiated a great deal for us and that was that my first taste of Chinese beer - it was most pleasant and at 25p a bottle top value! It is crazy that its that cheap, China is definitely a bargaining country as I think the beer started off at 60p but you kind of feel bad bargaining them down but it’s apparently what your supposed to do, so when in China and all of that!

Had a sound nights sleep and we were all very excited about seeing the Great Wall of China as the train goes past it, well in fact it detours so you can see it, but wow what a sight, the size of it is incredible and how they built it on such steep ridges I will never know - I don’t think the work conditions of the poor sods who built it were particularly great, some

didn’t even receive food for their efforts - nice eh, but the end result of their hard work is awesome. The wall viewing is about 50 km from Beijing so we all knew it wasn’t too far to the biggest city we had ever visited, the population of Beijing is around 16 million! Such enough before we knew it our train journey was over and we found ourselves standing on the platform of Beijing station, with all its very own unique chaos! We took the metro the our hotel it was no where near as hectic as our experience in Moscow thankfully, the heat was incredible and the amount of people trying to sell you thing or who were just generally in yer face was like nothing I had ever seen before - the Chinese certainly don’t believe in personal space!
