We ordered various dishes none to wild in there descriptions, Rob has ordered a fish thing which I wasn’t particularly looking forward to thinking it would be like mock fish but silly me, it was shaped like a fish and served in a fish shaped dish with what looked like batter on the outside but was in-fact mashed potatoes!!! Very bizarre! So we ended up with a real good variety of dishes some which were to hot for your own good, very tasty all the same but you couldn’t eat too much of the spicy ones that was for sure.

After our meal we had free time so we wandered around the grounds of the temple but Rob was feeling a bit coldy and we were both fairly tired so we decided to go back and chill for a while, as we had planned to go to the Sichuan Opera in the evening! How cultured we are!!! We got back to the hotel to find we had free internet, so we decided to do some surfing and start
checking out stuff for Tibet. We had also sort of decided that we may well finish the tour in Lhasa and do an overland journey to Kathmandu, I think it was only just beginning to dawn on us that our next appointment so to speak was a flight out of Delhi on 17th October! We’d had a good chat with Greg about Tibet as he has spent a lot time there and he was telling us how easy it was to get jeep trips and ones that also go to Everest Base Camp - so we were thinking how cool would that be, so we ended up spending the rest of the afternoon checking stuff out and getting very excited about the fact that it may well become a near future reality.
