The Canadian Rockies had been brilliant for all sorts of reasons. The scenery was amazing, it was great to spend some time in a fully equipped RV, something that I’m sure we’ll do again, but most of all it was great to see Russ and Ruth again, and just incredible to see how much Ellie and Mikey have grown up!! Can’t wait to see how much they’ve changed next time we see them!! It was also the end of a fantastic few months that we’d spent with various friends and family, it was great to hang out with each and every one of you. Now it was back to just Hel and I, and within a week we would be out of the English speaking comfort zone that we’d enjoyed for so long, and back to another part of the world with a culture markedly different to our own. We were filled with anticipation for this, but before we took the plunge, there was the small matter of four days in the Big Apple for some skyscrapers and Deli Sandwiches!!
