PARATI
(little people) certainly knew how to enjoy themselves and they sure weren’t afraid of the water. As I remember Rob cooked a delightful meal that evening and we also had the pleasure of watching some Premiership football - so all in all another great day.

We set the alarm so we would have enough time to organise a boat trip for today. Again there seemed to be something weird going on the time as the hall clock had changed by an hour again! Thankfully we were up in time for it not to bother us. After our ‘eggs’ we headed off in search of a boat trip. We took approximately 2 steps outside before we were bombarded with boat trip people and today was our lucky day as there was allegedly some kind of boat trip offer so we managed to get a 4 hour boat trip which included 4 beach stops for the grand total of £3.50 each - marvellous!

The boat trip was fabulous, the sun was shining and the waters were calm. We had a bit of a hitch getting the boat out of its spot but after some frantic arm-waving and endless instructions our skipper managed to free it from whatever it was trapped on and set sail. The boats are Schooners which I’m not really sure what that means, but they are very nice old looking big wooden boats, with fancy sail poles. I know that is a shocking description so check out the photos! We were also slightly alarmed by the fact that our boat seemed to have some kind of entertainment thrown in. I have to say we were dreading it but it turned out to be just one man with a guitar who was actually very good, so it was all rather pleasant in the end, which we were both mightily relieved about!

It took us around an hour to get to our first beach and in true Brasilian style the Brasilians were all on their second
