relented and let Rob have a look and listen! We grabbed something to eat in the mall then headed back to the hostel to put some tunes on my player and really test it out. It now means that I have to be a lot more organised with my music and try to decide what I want to listen to before we set out on a marathon bus journey but its not the end of the world and its better to have something small than nothing at all.

After adding a few tracks we decided that we really shouldn’t spend all day playing with my MP3 player and headed out and checked out some more of Montevideo. It was a great little city and we had a good wander around checking out various parks and markets. Later on in the evening we headed out to find the Veggie all you can eat buffet. The food was wholesome and wasn’t the best we’ve ever eaten but we certainly weren’t complaining and we really pleased to even find a veggie
café never mind an all you can eat buffet.

The next morning we packed as we were taking the afternoon bus back to Colonia then the evening ferry back to Buenos Aires. We skipped breakfast as we wanted to do the historic walk before we left the city. It was another sunny morning and we had a pleasant and cultural morning checking out all of the many historic buildings. Before we knew it, it was time to get something to eat and to our delight we found another all you can eat buffet! After a good feed we headed back to the hostel and after a combination of taxi, bus and ferry we found ourselves back in Argentina.

It had been a very short but sweet trip in Uruguay. We found both places to be very friendly and interesting places to visit. We felt like we’d had enough time at both
