BUENOS AIRES
I was looking for a new pair of pants but I didn’t find anything suitable so was keeping my fingers crossed I’d find something in Africa. By this time we were feeling in need of a rest so we headed back through the park once more stopping at a couple of the benches along the way. We then took the metro back to our hostel and chilled for a while, before doing some more website things. We were re-arranging our first lot of website photos as they don’t appear in the correct order. It is a very boring and time consuming task but needs doing and seeing as the internet was free and incredibly fast we thought we’d make a start. A little later I went out to get a bottle of wine, it is so nice to be able to walk around on your own in a city so far away from home and feel totally at ease.

When I got back Rob had had enough of internet things and a couple of lads had just put a DVD on so we
decided to join them and watch it. They were watching Full Metal Jacket, which I had seen years ago and second time around seemed to make a lot more sense. I guess its now because we have been to Vietnam and know the history a lot better and now have a totally unbiased view on the American war. It was such a terrible thing and a shame that the American politicians still haven’t learned their lesson and have created something in Iraq which is equally as bad. Unfortunately the film (a copy of course!) broke about 10 minutes before the end of the film, so it mean’s that we will have to watch it again to find out the ending as neither of us can remember it fully!!!

Unfortunately we were woken up very early by some loud mouthed German guys who seemed hell bent on waking up the whole hostel when it was time for them to get up! That’s the only thing I really dislike about hostels, the few in
