crocodile asleep on a little island in the lake and it was massive, there is no way you would be messing with that thing! We also saw and heard some hippos splashing around at the other end of the lake. It was really hot as it was mid afternoon so we headed to the main camp’s bar and restaurant for a fizzy drink before heading back towards the hostel.
When we arrived back at the hostel we found Mike outside talking to an Aussie guy, who was really sound. Unfortunately there were a couple of South Africans watching a majorly important rugby game, the only problem with this was that it would finish an hour into Chelsea’s FA cup game - grrrrr. Thankfully due to rugby being generally rubbish compared to football, the couple said that we could watch the football if we would let them watch the last five minutes of their rugby game! Apparently it wasn’t a very good game - result! Of course we

agreed and thanked them profusely. We ended up with quite a gathering at the football, with ourselves, the bar staff, Claudia, the Aussie guy and an American guy! Unfortunately the staff were cheering on Man U but hey ho that’s Man U for you! As you all know the full 90 minutes was pretty boring stuff but when it mattered my boys showed what they are made of and Drogba’s goal was quite simply a gem! Of course the staff were pleased that Drogba had scored and rightly so! We were in high spirits so after dinner we joined the Aussie and American guy round the camp fire and had a great evening with them and a few beers!
We were up handy as today was the day of our quad biking. We were all very excited but I was perhaps the most apprehensive as I had never done quad biking before. The guy was coming to pick us up around 9 and due to drop us back off at between 4 and 5, so a full day it would be. A
