SWAZILAND

Next stop was the highlight for me as we were to visit another homestead and have the pleasure of having a group of kids sing and dance for us. We first had tea and biscuits before I went and asked the kids if they minded having their photos taken. Of course they didn’t and as with everywhere else in the world this kids loved seeing their faces on the back on the camera. After all of the excitement of the photos it was time for them to start signing and they were great. They sang a few traditional songs and they were so tuneful it was incredible. Next up was their dancing and they all took turns doing their little dance. Again they were all fantastic and were all very eager to do repeat performances and of course there was the odd scuffle as to who was performing next!

We had a wonderful send off with loads of big smiles and waves
before we disappeared behind a cloud of dust and were on the road once again. We passed through some more great scenery and were starting to make our way back but had one more stop to make, at the local brewery! When we were told we were going to be visiting a brewery I don’t think any of us knew what the expect - it was nothing like a western brewery put it that way!!

We arrived at the group of buildings and after parking up we made our way over to one of them where we smelled a funny smell. We entered a very crammed little building where we were greeted by some very drunk people. The place was packed with a range of people from very old to fairly young. The bar lady was the local school teacher but it was Sunday so it was her day off! There was a large drum of muddy grey liquid in the corner that smelled very hoppy, I was really hoping that it tasted a lot better than it looked as I guessed
