look really easy but it wasn’t quite as easy as he made it look! The sun was beginning to rise and the heat was increasing so we certainly sweated off a few pounds but considering nobody had ever done it before I don’t think we disgraced ourselves too much! I really enjoyed the session and will look forward to trying it again. I made my way back to the hotel and it took a while to wake sleeping beauty so I could get back into our room and prepare to my next class, Chinese cookery which was at 9 - pretty busy morning me thinks!

We had both opted for the Chinese cookery, so we met at 9 met Jackie our tutor, then walked up to markets to buy our ingredients. I wasn’t overly looking forward to this part but seeing as out of the 6 people doing the cookery course and 4 of them being veggie, I thought we just go round the vegetable halls! Sure enough we started off in the vegetable hall’s, the

smell and colours were amazing, we bought some water spinach and few other varieties of greens. Then we moved halls and this is it all went horribly wrong, the first few stalls were selling tofu which were fine and we bought a few hefty chunks, I don’t think I have ever seen so much tofu on offer, we swiftly moved on and unfortunately found ourselves in the middle fish and meat hall. I have never in my life or would ever wish to repeat seeing the most disgusting and sickening display of animal cruelty I have ever experienced. I was fully aware that I needed to become less squeemish about seeing meat on display but nothing could have prepared me for that, it was vile. I looked up and to my complete horror I saw a man throw a half dead fish off the scales and on to the floor, (the floor being mostly dust and dirt) you could see loads of flapping bags as the market seller were weighing the poor things in carrier bags, I don’t even know if they were killed off or just left to suffocate to death.
