ANDAMAN COAST
looked as if it had been bashed. We were pretty cheesed off about it and we racking our brains as to how it could have got damaged then Rob remembered. When we were in either Delhi airport the clasp on the camera bag came off causing the handle to come off on one side, so as I went to pick it up it fell and one corner of the bag hit the floor - RUBBISH! Thirty four quid that bag cost us and it wasn’t the first time that the handle clasps had come off, we are after getting a new bag anyway, but you don’t expect dodgy handle clasps on fairly expensive Lowepro camera bags. portable battery charger broke, the Platypus water carrier sprung a leak after the 3rd time it has been used - RUBBISH! So thanks to some pretty poor products its ended up costing us quite a bit of money - cheers Berghaus, Sony, Lowepro, Lifeventure, Lowe Alpine, Uniross and Platypus - grrrrr.

We ordered a taxi and were surprised at how much it cost, in fact by this point we were beginning to wonder if anywhere in the south of Thailand was cheap. We were also starting to wonder whether we would have been better going to the north first as it appeared to be a lot cheaper! Our problem had been that we were only able to get a guide book for Southeast Asia at Kuala Lumpur airport so we hadn’t had anytime to research anywhere properly. We were very aware that we needed to try and stay
