So the time had come for our last meal and for some reason I really fancied a beer so we thought hey why not! As usual one leads to another and we ended up getting quiet merry and talking with Colin and his friend Ian, who was a right cockney geeza but had lived out in Southeast Asia for the last god knows how long. Ian also dearly loved Hanoi, he’d lived there for 15 years so we ended up getting the names of some must do places there, he like Colin was a character! They were both telling us about all the wildlife of the area, how Cobra’s were often seen and how shy they were!!! Hmmm it’s a good job we’d had a couple of beers otherwise the 2” gap at the bottom of the door might have seen a bit more of a proble

The next day we were up at 6.00 a.m. kind of wishing we hadn’t stayed up so late drinking beer! Ah well still beats working half 8 to 5 everyday! We got the ferry no problems and arrived at Krabi hoping to get an overnight train back to Bangkok. Unfortunately there was only 1 bunk available on the train so we were stuck in Krabi for the day and night. We were pretty fed up, I think mainly due to lack of sleep and a slight hangover but I guess it had just hit us as to how little time we had in Thailand, we only had another 2 weeks and we wanted to do so much and didn‘t want to waste a night in Krabi. So we booked our bus and train tickets for the next day and went back to our room to chill for a bit. Everything seemed better after a bit more sleep so feeling slightly refreshed and after a blast under the freezing cold shower we headed out to see what Krabi had to offer.
