LOUANG PRABANG
opted for a smaller pool just down from the main one. It was freezing as the sun had gone behind the hills by this point so I didn’t stay in for long, a quick lap round and I was out! Rob stayed in for longer but then he is more of a daredevil than me!
After our swimming we walked up the side of the main 60 metre waterfall which was fairly strenuous but again the views from the top made the effort worthwhile. This is another example of how relaxed they are in Laos, there’d be no way on earth you’d be allowed to do that walk in England or Europe on the grounds of Health and Safety. I guess it could be described as quite dangerous but it was great that you were allowed to do it as the view and sound from the top of the waterfall was stunning.
Time was ticking by far too quickly for

our liking and we wished that we could have spent the day here, but we needed to start heading back down. We took a different route which took us past a whole host of different sized crystal blue pools that looked so inviting, it was really difficult to walk past and not take a dip.
After seeing the tiger and after understanding what good was being done, we thought it only right to go and see the Asiatic Black Bears. They were lovely, there were a good few of them and we were lucky enough to see them playing! They were a lot less lazy than the pandas we‘d seen in China!!! Before long it was time to head back to the mini bus, it was seemed odd to us why they only seemed to run afternoon trips to this place, it would be the idea place to spend a full day.
Again we had some great
