was an incredibly tense second half for him but City hung on and did us a favour in the process. The Swedish lad was a big Arsenal fan and they were on next, we watched the first half with him but then headed off to bed.

We woke up early, had breakfast then headed straight out and we wanted to get tickets for the Petronas towers. We stopped in at Malaysian airlines to reconfirm our flights to Sydney and then headed to the towers. The towers are really impressive, in fact most of Kuala Lumpur is, it is a beautiful city. It has been blessed with some great architecture and also has a really cosmopolitan feel it and also has the benefit of lots of green spaces. It is one of the nicest cities in terms of visual appeal that we have been to in a very long time, thankfully Kuala Lumpur seemed to have missed the architectural hiccups of mass ugly concrete skyscrapers that dominate so many Asian
cities.

We booked free tickets for 4.30, the last tour up the towers. Then went for a walk around the towers park, which was fabulous. We then thought it was only right to take a trip on the city’s monorail, and it was great, they really are a brilliant way of getting around a city, I really don’t know why they aren’t so popular. We thought we’d try our luck again with the bird park, it was quite expensive to get in but it did look good so we thought why not, it was brilliant and you really did forget that you were in an enclosed canopy and a city as it was so open and green. We saw all sorts of things and gave the new zoom lens a good testing out. Just as we were coming to the end of the park the heavens opened and we took shelter in the photographic room. Once the rain eased off a little we walked down to the metro and headed towards the Petronas Towers for our 4.30 skywalk tour. We grabbed a coffee as we were slightly early in the massive
