SYDNEY
for a meal at a lovely little noodle restaurant and had a good chat about our travels in Australia. They had put in an offer on a house the last time we had seen them, it had all gone through Ok, someone had bought their flat and they had a moving date which they were very excited about. We were all ready for bed around midnight as poor Jason had been working all day and we were fairly tired after our night at the grotty hostel!
We had a lazy morning, Jason and Chantay were going out for the afternoon, so we planned to go and check out the local area. We walked down to Coogee beach which was lovely and a little more up market than Bondi!!! We had a great walk on the cliffs and then went down to the rock pool baths, brrrr, it was fairly chilly water, but was OK was you got used to it! It was a lovely spot and we had a top afternoon. Later on Jason cooked a great meal and we had another nice night. I also got to speak to Les, who I hadn’t spoken to

since I’d left all those months ago. It was really great to speak to her again and I do miss her as I do with all of my family and friends! That is the only down side of travelling not being able to see people, I can’t imagine how much Harry and Sophie will have grown up by the time we get back.
Before we knew it, it was our last day in Australia, it is incredibly how time flys but we had one very important thing we needed to do before we could leave, and that was to get our tickets updated with all of our new travel dates. Neither of us said too much about it, but I think we were both keeping everything crossed that we would have no hitches, otherwise our plans would go drastically wrong!!! We took the bus into Sydney and as we were nearing the city, the driver pulled over and told everyone on the bus that all of Sydney’s central roads were closed and the bus would be terminating earlier. We both looked at each and took a big deep breath -
