shopping shops. We also had a voucher from Jason and Chantay for a half price ferry ride and an ice cream. We had obviously used the ferry voucher which was very welcome in halving the cost and then found the ice cream shop! I’m not kidding you, we had the most massive ice cream you have ever seen. We opted for the 2 scoops in a chocolate topped cone, blob of fresh cream, a flake and chopped nuts!!! How obscene is that?? It was humungous and was fairly problematic to eat due to it wobbling and melting all over the place!!! We had both had enough of it after about half way through it, but we plodded on and finished it, then felt incredibly sick. Never again will I ever been such a greedy pig and get an ice cream so large!!! We were in definite need of a walk after this, so went for a slow stroll down the beach and felt fat as we passed the ever so fit and healthy looking volleyball people, sprinting around all over the place!

the end of the beach and back we decided to head back to the ferry, as we wanted to be home around the same time as Jason and Chantay as they had suggested going out for a meal. Unfortunately Chantey had had a very hectic and busy day and was very late home so we met her at the restaurant. Again we had a lovely meal and the area they live is very Chorlton or Didsbury like but with better weather!!! We all needed to be up and out early so had a fairly early night.
Jason and Chantay kindly dropped us off at the airport, we were sad to see them drive off. It had been really great staying with them and we only hope that at some point in the future we may be lucky enough to meet up with them again. We’d had a great time in Australia but I think we were both ready to move on and were hoping that New Zealand would live up to its reputation. I’m not sure if we would rush back to Australia, but that’s not to say we didn’t enjoy it. It is a fabulous
