The next morning we would be heading back to Alameda for the night before we started our trip to LA. Northern California had been wonderful, the redwood forests were a real treat and the scenery had been outstanding. We were both really taken aback by the beauty of California and we still had an awful lot to see and were very much looking forward to it.
