DEATH VALLEY & LAS VEGAS
which didn’t actually lead us anywhere near the monorail station, no it took us right into the middle of a casino. We passed through the one arm bandit aisle and it was zombie city. I just don’t get it at all, what a boring hobby! I wasn’t getting the Las Vegas vibe, I knew I wouldn’t like it and I whole-heartly didn’t. Everyone was getting a bit tetchy due to hunger and tiredness. By this point we had given up with the monorail signs, they were just sending you deeper into the casino, so the first sign for food we saw we headed to. It was very expensive, and not exactly what everyone wanted, so we all decided to head off and get what we wanted ourselves. Rob had spied an all you eat Chinese buffet (what is he like!) on the way down the strip so we made a bee-line for there. The all you can eat buffets are amazing, they even have pizza and ice-cream!!! The sign claimed there were over 100 dishes and on closer inspection there were about 4 veggie dishes, but thankfully I was saved by the Mongolian
barbeque that was set up in the corner! I must admit I did have amongst other things, pizza and ice cream! We didn’t really have any inclination to go and see the sites so after our Chinese we headed straight back to our room for some sanity!
We met the others for breakfast, Sue and Eddie had gone to the Egyptian hotel and had chicken and chips whilst watching the comings and going of a casino and Cath and Andy had a Mexican and then went on somewhere for a drink. So a good night was had by all!
I guess Vegas is one of those places that you could love or loath, but I have been fortunate and seen a lot of places in this world and whilst seeing them, realising the serious consequences global warming will bring and Vegas does absolutely nothing to respect that or its environment - so
