There was one solitary penguin on the island and a sleeping seal but that was it in terms of wildlife so we were quite relieved to get back on the ship.
After getting changed we found Doris installed bar side drinking a can of beer so it would have been rude not to join her. We had a very funny and fairly late night drinking till the wee hours with Doris, Jacob, Gary and Phil laughing and joking about various things that amused us! It was really good to have some similar minded passengers on board and was the icing on the cake so to speak. It felt like we had known this people for years even though the true reality was only a few days.
