BUENOS AIRES
27TH APRIL - 2ND MAY
We arrived back in our favourite South American city around 10 am. The bus station looked somewhat different to when we had arrived all of those months ago. It all seemed very hectic so we grabbed a taxi to our hostel. We had decided to change in a different area in the city as it was so big that we felt we should stay somewhere else. We had booked into Kilda backpackers and it was Ok but nothing special. I was also feeling a little poorly with a stomach upset, I don’t know whether it was the food on the bus or what but I did feel rather iffy. I made a beeline to bed and left Rob to his own devises but with free wifi I knew he’d be able to entertain himself!Needless to say due to me feeling rotten we didn’t really do anything on our first day. I kept falling asleep and Rob had loads of things he wanted to do on the internet so we had a very chilled morning
and early afternoon. The only real thing we had to do was collect our tickets for Africa!!! Wow, South America was coming to an end and we were feeling pretty sad about the fact. We knew Africa would be a whole new experience, but we’d been here for so long and time hadn’t mattered to us one single bit and Africa was going to change all of that in terms of time left away.
The next morning we decided that we should change hostels. This one was Ok, but the last one we’d stayed in was fantastic and we knew we could do better. The breakfast was also awful but then that was nothing new! I felt a bit better but Rob was starting to feel a little dodgy but we decided to head out anyway. We decided we would like to stay in Palermo which is a leafy suburban area of BA. We took the metro which was fine and incredibly cheap.
