We finally located the shuttle, after a fair few airport workers had told us they had no idea where the bus went from! It was all starting to get rather annoying, but after what seemed like an eternity we were finally sat on a shuttle bus heading towards Waikiki! We had been warned by the guide book not to expect much from the drive from the airport to Waikiki and believe me they weren’t wrong. It wasn’t what you imagined about the tropical paradise islands of Hawaii, it was more like an ugly concrete jungle spreading for as far as the eye could see. The traffic was hectic and it was all a far cry from the extremely peaceful Sunset Waya we had left at 4 pm Fiji time. We had now gone back in time and were whizzing down some endless freeway into a concrete high rise ‘full on’ holiday resort. At this moment in time my

We finally got to our hostel and booked in. The hostel was fine, there was only 4 people per dorm and the Irish guy on reception was extremely helpful. Things were looking up!
