down the beach and watched a fabulous sunset. We had a very chilled night as we were planning to get up early and watch the England game the next morning which was due to be shown at 3.00 a.m.
Later on in the evening whilst checking the internet we realised we’d missed the England game as we were now a day behind Europe!!! Doh this time business what going to take some getting used to, but we figured we didn’t miss much!

Today was check out day, but we asked the driver if he wouldn’t mind (for the small fee of 5$) taking my rucksack back to Waikiki. We figured that if we didn’t have my rucksack we could get the local bus back to Waikiki later on in the evening and spend the day around North Shore. The driver obviously knew where we were coming from and agreed. Thankfully we had another lovely day in North Shore, we were still able
to use the apartment, just not our room. So we made good use of the time by catching up with diaries and photos, before heading out for one last walk around the super chilled North Shore.

We got the 5 p.m. bus back to Waikiki which took a good couple of hours. We passed some amazing scenery before seeing the distant high-rises of Waikiki. We were in Waikiki for just one more night then flying out early morning (shuttle bus at 6.30 a.m.) to our next Hawaiian destination - the Big Island or Hawaii to give it, it’s proper title!

We’d had a good time in Oahu the highlight was definitely North Shore. It was a lot more along the lines of what you would expect from a tropical paradise, but Waikiki did have its own kind of charm. I think we were just a little to tired and phased by the
