BACK TO SAN FRANCISCO
on our legs and feet! We were only on the bus for around 5 minutes before it was time to get off and go check out Little Italy. It was packed and we suddenly realised that it was Friday night, all the restaurants were heaving and we were starting to wonder if we should have booked a table. We checked out a few places but Pomodoro, the restaurant we had spotted earlier still seemed a firm favourite with everyone, the only small problem was that there was a 20 - 40 minute waiting time. Not bad really considering how busy it was. Everyone was prepared to wait even though the smell of the food was killing us all as we were all starving by this point! Cath and Andy then said that tonight was their treat and the food was on them. It was really nice of them and we all really appreciated it and decided that we were all going to order the most expensive thing on the menu - hee he only kidding!!! We ordered a bottle of wine and lingered outside waiting for our table, whilst casting hurry up glances to the people
sitting inside!!!
We were just onto our second bottle of wine when our table became free. We were in there like a shot and had already decided on what we were going to eat, so it didn’t take us long to order! Our waitress was a lovely girl from Devon, so we knew she wouldn’t be expecting too big of a tip!!! The food was tremendous, if anyone goes to San Francisco then I would highly recommend this restaurant Pomodoro, not only does it serve the most delicious Italian food it is also very cheap. We had a cracking 3 course meal and there weren’t many left-overs that’s for sure! We managed to get a cable car back from Little Italy to the top of our street, again great fun.
We finished the day off with a bottle of wine in our room and a good lot of chatter - what a brilliant day.
