NEW YORK CITY
across a European Festival being held in at the ferry end of the park. The festival was a celebration of European Culture within New York City and it was very interesting. There was a huge stage with some incredible dancers, as well as stalls selling a variety of different things and information booths about each European country, but unfortunately we didn’t want to hang around too much seeing as we are pretty aware of European Culture!

We continued round to the ferry building which had changed somewhat since my last visit, it was all a bit more upmarket than I remembered with a brand new ferry building and lots of construction work going on. There was a huge queue for the ferry but by the time it had docked we had managed to make our way to nearly the front of the queue. The ferries were still the same and it was a bit of a mad rush to get a seat outside. We sat on the opposite side of Liberty
on the way out as we wanted to get a good view of both sides of the river. Again for me it was really strange looking back and not seeing the Twin Towers not only were they very impressive looking buildings they were a great landmark. One thing that had changed was that you could no longer stay on the ferry when it reached Staten Island. Every single passenger had to get off and then head round to the embarking point which seemed a bit daft, but you can’t complain too much when you’re getting the ferry ride for free! The views past the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan were great.

After the ferry we headed to the Indian Museum in Lower Manhattan, unfortunately we only had around 30 minutes in there due to it closing by 5 p.m. I remember us both being quite surprised by the time, the day had flown and we still had loads of things we wanted to see. From there we walked down to Wall
