Street and did the touristy thing and took photos of ourselves at the bulls statue. We then walked down Wall Street and again this place had changed, there were lots of barriers in place and a lot of the buildings were now inaccessible - hardly surprising really. It was very quiet around that area due to it being a Saturday and it seemed strange to think that this was one of the main financial areas of the world. There were just a handful of tourists clicking away at various building and posing in front of the anti terrorist barriers.

Our feet were truly killing us by this point and we were in need of some food, so there was only one thing to do and head for Chinatown. Anything associated with the word China and we have come to expect a certain type of hecticness and New York’s Chinatown is no different. Our culinary plan was cheap and cheerful, again our experience has told us that you don’t

always need fancy surroundings to get good food. In fact we have come to find that the more local the place the better the food, so with this in mind we started the difficult task of trying to pick somewhere. In the end we found a Chinese/Malaysian place with a good sounding veggie menu, the food didn’t disappoint. We had a great meal and it was a nice change to eating something other than pizza! After our meal we decided to head straight back to our hostel, we’d had a full on day of sightseeing and were definitely in need of some rest and relaxation!

The next morning we weren’t up quite so early as we had seen that there was a chance of getting some free comedy tickets.
