CUZCO
story.

We got back to the hostel just in time, as the heavens opened and mother nature let go of some of her wrath in terms of an incredible thunderstorm. We were definitely going to be staying put for quite some time. We had made some vague plans the night before to meet up with Andie again, but we didn’t really feel like another night on the town so we just had a very chilled evening. Our hostel room was lovely so it was nice to just stay in and chill with a book and we knew we’d see Andie again.

Due to our beer free evening we managed to make it for breakfast which consisted of either fruit or eggs, a nice change from the dreaded hard bread and dulce de (its so not right) leche! We were up for a day’s sight seeing and headed first to the Coriqancha which originally was an Inca temple but when the God squad got their hands on it they
turned it into a monastery! Oh those pesky missionaries, if only they’d have left things alone we’d have had much more culture to digest!

We then headed off to the Natural History museum which was small by anybody’s standards. It cost about 15p to get in and consisted of lots of stuffed animals, creepy crawlies and not much else! All of the exhibit names were in Spanish and Latin so we weren’t really any the wiser when we came out of there! After this it was time for lunch and Rob was after his usual fill of as many empanadas as possible! So after an empanada in the plaza it was back to sightseeing!

We also checked out a tourist museum pass but it seemed very expensive and we weren’t sure we’d get round to doing all the things on it. So we whittled down our museum list
